Discover What Makes Us Different

Allergy Testing

We offer specialized allergy testing for all allergies including grasses, weeds, pollens, molds, and foods. Our testing finds your specific tolerance for each allergen and we create a treatment plan based on your reaction. All of our antigens are preservative free, which means they do not contain any glycerin, alcohol, or any other fillers.

Allergy Treatment

We customize your treatment based on your testing results to provide the most effective treatment for your allergies. Throughout your treatment, we monitor your progress and make adjustments if necessary. We start out with weekly shots until you reach a maintenance level, and then teach you how to continue treatment at home.

Primary Care

We combine our patient first philosophy with primary care services to provide you with the most comprehensive treatment. When you visit us, you will spend very little time in the waiting room and the majority of your time will be spent talking to your doctor, not a nurse or medical assistant. We are located in Burleson, Texas and lead by Doctor Lawrence Whaley, MD.

Chronic Conditions

Unlike most primary care offices, we enjoy treating chronic conditions. We believe that there are more treatments available than simply prescribing pharmaceuticals  to treat the overlying symptoms. We want to find the cause of your condition, and treat the source rather than just the symptoms.

Our Mission

Our mission is to spend more time with each patient answering questions and providing solutions while eliminating wait times and improving the doctor-patient relationship. We treat patients, not just symptoms.

Doctor Whaley

From allergy testing and treatment, to primary care, to pediatrics; Doctor Whaley has over 26 years of experience in multiple specialties and has been Board Certified in Internal Medicine since 1990.

Environmental Medicine

Your environment is everything that affects your body in some physiological way. We examine these factors to determine what is causing your sickness, and treat the problem rather than just the symptoms.

Allergy FAQS

Allergy testing helps by identifying the items, also called allergens, that are causing your body to have an allergic reaction. For some allergens, like peanuts, it’s easy to remove them from your daily life to avoid the allergic reaction. For other allergens, such as any type of grass, tree, or weed, it’s difficult if not impossible to completely avoid the substance. In this case, allergy treatment, called Immunotherapy, can help your body recognize these substances properly which will help keep your body from having an allergic reaction.

Immunotherapy is the process of giving your body a small amount of a substance that you are allergic to. This can be one substance, or multiple substances mixed together. The substance is usually given by injecting the serum into the skin once or twice a week. Overtime, the dose is increased to help train your immune system that it should not view the substance as a threat, which will help lessen the occurrence of allergic reactions.

Once the strength of the dose has been increased high enough, which usually takes around 6 months, you will continue with a maintenance dose that is the same strength each time. The maintenance dose is usually continued for 1-2 years, though the longer it is maintained the more permanent the treatment will become. Usually, the maintenance dose can be taken at home once you have been properly instructed how to administer the dose.

Most people start seeing noticeable improvement with 6-8 weeks and symptoms should be vastly improved within 6 months. However, every one is different and it may take longer for some patients to see improvement.

After discontinuing treatment, the benefits received should last at least 3-5 years but many patients will benefit from the treatment for 7-10 years, or longer in some cases.
